Find a customer and their order history
Use the customer directory to locate the intended account before reviewing order history or updating personal details. Customers with similar names may be different records.
Find the customer
- Open Orders & Customers → Customer List.
- Enter the identifying information you have in Customer search and select Search.
- Compare the customer name, email and reference shown in the results. Use the page controls if there are several matches.
- Select Orders on that customer’s record to investigate their order history.
- Use On-account orders when your question concerns that customer’s account purchases.
Other directory actions
The directory offers Add customer, Edit, Delete, Saved baskets and Print Loyalty Card. These are separate tasks. Finding a record or reading its history does not require deleting it or creating another account.
Example: two customers share a surname
Compare the email or customer reference as well as the name. Open the relevant history only after checking which record belongs to the customer you are helping. If an account appears duplicated, keep both references for investigation rather than deleting one simply because the names match.
If the record is missing
Review spelling, alternate contact details and other result pages. Check whether the sale had a named customer attached by finding the order directly. A sale with no customer attached may need an order-based search.
Search and list controls
Search matches billing name, email, telephone, billing postcode or customer number. Use a distinctive part and Search; clear the text and search again to broaden results. Review Previous/Next and Results per page. Sort by offers date choices; check the actual sequence rather than relying on position for identity.
