How can we help?

Record a till sale on a customer account

An on-account sale is a purchase recorded against the customer’s account. It is different from receiving money to pay down that account.

Prepare the sale

  1. Add the intended products/options and quantities.
  2. Select the correct customer and review any group-price or loyalty changes.
  3. Check the basket total and the customer’s account eligibility/available credit.
  4. Select PAY.
  5. Review Tendered for the amount intended to be put on account and choose the configured On Account tender when offered.
  6. Wait for the saved result, then review the order and customer account records.

If On Account is missing

Check that a customer is selected and their credit settings and available balance are appropriate. The till requires a positive configured limit and positive remaining credit before showing the tender. Do not choose a similar customer or another payment label to bypass the restriction.

If the amount exceeds available credit

Review the message and the account records. Use only an authorised alternative payment or limit-change process. Keep any earlier partial tender intact while resolving the remaining amount.

Webshop account purchases

Webshop payment-method setup and signed-in customer eligibility are separate from the till button. Verify the actual checkout rather than assuming an enabled till option configures the online channel.

Review the limit · Receive payment instead · Account reporting.
