Review configured WebShop payment methods
Payment methods lists the checkout options configured for your shop. Match the method’s name, customer-facing description and Active/Inactive state before opening its settings.
Find the method
- Open WebShop → Payment Methods, also available under Global Settings.
- Find the intended provider or offline method.
- Read the description and configured state.
- Select that method’s Edit control when you need to inspect it. Delete is a separate action.
Example: an offline collection choice
An Offline Payment method can have a customer-facing label such as Pay on Collection. Compare the actual configured method with the order’s payment choice rather than assuming that every option represents an online card charge.
Check availability in the intended checkout
Provider names shown in an account are not a guarantee that every integration is enabled, eligible or current for every merchant. Check the shop’s actual configuration and checkout conditions before advertising a payment option.
If a customer cannot pay
Record the method, storefront, checkout stage and exact message. Check the actual order and provider outcome before trying another charge. A method marked Active is configuration information; it does not prove that a particular payment settled.

Stop offering or remove a payment method
- Match the configured method to the intended storefront and provider account. Keep its current customer-facing description and settings.
- Review orders still awaiting payment, capture or refund through that method, and arrange how they will be handled.
- If the intention is to stop offering the method while retaining its configuration, open Edit and review the Active choice. Save the intended choice and check the actual checkout availability.
- If the configured method must be removed, select Delete beside that exact method in the list.
- Read Delete Payment Type? and confirm the intended removal.
- Read the result, check the list, and review the intended checkout and outstanding orders separately.
Removing a checkout method is separate from refunding a payment, cancelling an order or closing the provider account. Keep provider records and access needed for existing transactions. A configuration change does not establish any money movement. Ask support to confirm the appropriate sequence if unsettled transactions remain.
Example: replace a checkout provider
Prepare and check the replacement method, plan the changeover, and review outstanding transactions through the old provider before retiring its checkout option. Keep the provider account and transaction evidence available for later queries.
