How can we help?

Add and configure a WebShop payment method

Review the intended provider, account and checkout before adding a method. The options offered depend on the current shop and configured provider availability.

Review what is already configured

  1. Open WebShop → Payment Methods.
  2. Compare the method type, customer-facing title and Active/Inactive state.
  3. If the intended method already exists, use its Edit control instead of adding another.
  4. Use Add payment method to review available additions. The dialog can report that no additional methods are available, including a plan restriction.

Add the intended record

Each offered method has an Add button naming that method. Selecting it creates the configuration record and opens its editor. Cancel in the later editor does not establish that the added record was removed.

Configure and activate deliberately

  1. Confirm Payment type and enter the intended display title and method-specific settings.
  2. Check the actual provider account and test/live environment where applicable.
  3. Review Active separately. Choosing Yes and saving is intended to make the method available in the store; do not use it just to inspect fields.
  4. For an intended configuration update, select Save changes.
  5. Reopen the method and verify the saved state and intended checkout availability.

Example: two checkout choices

A card method and an offline collection method can serve different customer needs. Confirm that this shop’s plan and checkout actually offer both, and use labels that distinguish paying online from paying later.

If saving fails

Read the exact message and inspect the actual method state before retrying. A failed settings update is not proof the Active state stayed unchanged. Keep provider credentials out of support messages and screenshots.

Stripe · PayPal · Offline collection.

If no additional methods are available

If the chooser shows No additional payment methods available, cancel it and review the configured list. The intended method may already have its own Edit action. Compare the method type with its display title; a custom label can make the existing option harder to recognise.

Keep the exact chooser message and method name if you ask support to check availability. Do not delete another payment configuration merely to try to make an Add option appear. The empty chooser alone does not identify a plan, provider or account restriction.
