How can we help?

Review Klarna WebShop setup

Confirm current merchant eligibility and the ShopTill-e Klarna integration being used before entering credentials or advertising the payment option.

Review the Builder configuration

  1. Open Payment Methods and the intended Klarna method, or inspect the offered add option.
  2. Review Terms and Conditions page and Purchase country of the store.
  3. Review Display title, Username, Password and Environment according to the actual integration’s supported credentials.
  4. Review Capture payment separately from Active. Confirm the intended goods/fulfilment workflow before choosing automatic or manual capture.
  5. Where offered, review Allowed IP Addresses for the intended test setup. This field is disabled in live mode.
  6. Use Save changes only for an intended, reviewed configuration; reopen and check the actual stored state.

Credentials and environments

Klarna’s current authentication guidance should be checked against the credential format supported by this deployed ShopTill-e integration. Do not assume an old username/password screenshot describes every newly issued credential. Its environment reference separates playground from production and regional endpoints.

Prepare the correct merchant credentials

Use Klarna’s Merchant Portal Settings guide for the intended account. Its current API-key section describes Generate new Klarna API key and one-time access to the generated key.

  1. Confirm the intended merchant/store and playground or production environment before creating or replacing anything.
  2. Confirm with support which credential format this ShopTill-e integration accepts. Do not replace a working setup merely because an older screenshot has different labels.
  3. When a new key is intended, follow the portal’s generation process and retain its download securely when offered. Do not put the key or credential file in a screenshot or ordinary support message.
  4. Keep API credentials separate from a client identifier, settlement-file credentials or the merchant ID. They serve different purposes.
  5. After an agreed Builder update, reopen the configuration and complete the intended test flow before relying on checkout availability. Do not disable the old working credential as a troubleshooting experiment.

Klarna documents a paired username and API key for clients using username/password fields: the issued username identifies that key, and the key is used as the password. Confirm that this is the appropriate format for your ShopTill-e setup before entering it. Do not use a portal-login password or guess a username from the merchant ID.

If an application or credential needs help

Use Klarna’s current official merchant-support route for the intended account, and keep the application or merchant reference and exact message. Ask ShopTill-e support to confirm integration questions separately. Never send payment credentials to an address copied from an old guide. An account application, portal access and a working checkout are separate stages.

Check eligibility and presentation

Verify actual store currency, purchase/billing country, merchant contract, account and checkout availability. A visible logo alone does not confirm availability for a particular country, currency or customer. Do not reuse old application-platform choices, contact addresses or approval promises without confirmation.

Before normal operation

Use the agreed provider test setup to verify order placement, approval/fraud states, full and partial fulfilment, capture, cancellation and refund. Check both Builder and the provider after each action. Test visibility restrictions do not by themselves prove complete isolation from customer traffic.

If Klarna does not appear

Keep the method, environment, intended store/billing country, account eligibility, current test-access scope and exact message for support. Do not change real credentials, public access or capture mode solely to make a button appear.

Review capture separately · Policy pages.
