How can we help?

Find your active WebShop theme

Templates & home page separates your current theme from the available theme library. Find the active theme for the intended storefront before changing homepage content.

Identify the theme

  1. Open WebShop → Choose your Theme.
  2. Review Current theme and the Active label.
  3. If you have additional websites, check Themes for additional web sites and the website name before opening its settings.
  4. Select Edit settings on the intended theme card to inspect its available sections.

Available themes

The library offers theme previews, Activate theme, Edit files and Remove theme controls. Opening settings is a different task from activating a different design. Review the preview and any custom work before planning a change of theme.

Example: edit the second storefront

If the main site uses Heathers but an additional website uses a different theme, open that additional site’s card. Editing the main site’s theme does not establish that you have changed the other storefront’s content.

Match the instructions to the editor’s tabs

After opening Edit settings, read the theme name in the editor heading and the tabs actually offered. The controls are theme-specific.

For example, Heathers has Homepage, Headings, Settings, SEO, Styles, Social Networks, KSP Strip and banner-row tabs. Loft Apartment instead offers tabs including Colours, Home Page Meta Tags, Logo Height, Front Page Carousel and Homepage Intro. A homepage-introduction instruction for one theme can therefore use a different tab name from another.

  1. Identify the intended storefront and its theme card.
  2. Open Edit settings and match the editor heading to that card.
  3. Find the relevant tab in that editor rather than looking for an old cog position or assuming every theme has Heathers’ tabs.
  4. If you are only checking the available controls, use Cancel to leave without a form save.

If the expected setting is absent, keep the theme name, storefront and visible tabs for support. Activating another design is a separate change and is not needed just to identify the current editor.

Content can live in several places

Homepage layout and banners can be theme settings. Featured product ranges are managed in Product Lists; navigation in the Webshop Navigation Manager; and information pages in Content Pages. Start in the part of Builder that owns the element you intend to change.

More detailed tasks

What the library preview opens

Selecting a theme image or Preview … settings opens its settings editor. That form can contain Save changes; it is not a simulated customer journey. Use a supplied demo link or the actual intended storefront to inspect the rendered design.

Record the theme and storefront before editing. If several storefronts use the same saved theme record, check which will be affected by its settings rather than assuming each card has an independent copy.

If you cannot find the setting or the storefront looks unchanged

  1. Record the exact storefront address you are checking.
  2. Return to Choose your Theme and identify that storefront’s Current theme, including any additional website card.
  3. Open Edit settings on that theme. Compare its name and available tabs with the instructions you are following; a guide for Heathers does not establish the controls in another theme.
  4. Reopen the relevant saved fields. Distinguish settings in an editor from the actual customer-facing storefront.
  5. If the intended element is not a theme field, check its owning area: Product Lists for featured ranges, Webshop Navigation Manager for menu links, or Content Pages for information-page wording.
  6. Keep the storefront address, theme name, field or section and displayed result for support. Do not activate or remove another theme merely to investigate an unexplained difference.

Choose the Heathers setting you want to change

Use these guides only when the intended storefront uses Heathers. Other themes can have different controls.
