How can we help?

Edit colours and fonts in Heathers

This guide describes the Heathers theme controls. Open WebShop → Choose your Theme, identify the intended storefront’s Current theme and select Edit settings. Other themes can offer different fields.

Review Styles

  1. Choose Styles.
  2. Review the colour roles: Headings + Buttons, Accents + Links, Offset background, Navigation background and Navigation text.
  3. Review Font - Body and Font - Titles separately.
  4. Record the current choices before changing a brand colour or font.
  5. After an intended change, check headings, buttons, links and navigation in the actual storefront.

Example: make navigation readable

If you change the navigation background, review its text colour at the same time. Check ordinary links, active items and buttons rather than judging the colour only in the editor.

Reset controls

The colour roles have Reset to default controls. Reset only the field you intend to restore; keeping a note of your current brand values makes it easier to understand what changed.

Review several page types

Check the homepage, a category, a product and checkout where relevant. A colour that works over one image may be difficult to read elsewhere. Compare desktop and mobile layouts before treating a style change as complete.

For an intended update, use Save changes, reopen the settings and check the relevant storefront on desktop and mobile. Use Cancel when you only need to review the settings.

Match each colour to its element

Styles separates Headings + Buttons, Accents + Links, Offset background, Navigation background and Navigation text. Review the intended element before choosing a value. Font - Body and Font - Titles are separate choices.

  1. Record the current value for the element you intend to change.
  2. Choose the intended colour or font and check related text/background combinations.
  3. Use a reset control only when returning that field to its default is intended.
  4. Review the other edited tabs, save deliberately and reopen the settings.
  5. Check the actual storefront, including navigation, buttons and longer text at phone size.

One save across the theme tabs

Homepage, Headings, Settings, SEO, Styles, Social Networks, KSP Strip and the banner tabs belong to the same settings form. Switching tabs does not save. Review changes across all tabs before Save changes, then reopen the correct theme and inspect its storefront. Cancel or Close leaves without another settings save; it does not reverse an earlier save or independent image-library action.

If the wrong element changes or text is hard to read

  1. Reopen Styles and compare the exact colour role with the affected element. Navigation text and Navigation background are separate choices.
  2. Compare Font - Body and Font - Titles if only one type of text differs.
  3. Inspect the affected text and its background together on the actual storefront, including longer text at phone width.
  4. Use Reset to default only for the field you intend to restore; it is not a general undo of all theme changes.

For a storefront that appears unchanged, use the active-theme checks before changing more style fields.
