How can we help?

Edit homepage metadata in Heathers

This guide describes the Heathers theme controls. Open WebShop → Choose your Theme, identify the intended storefront’s Current theme and select Edit settings. Other themes can offer different fields.

Edit SEO

  1. Choose SEO.
  2. Review SEO Title.
  3. Write an accurate SEO Description of the business and storefront.
  4. Review SEO Keywords if it is part of your existing content process.
  5. Save an intended update and check the stored values and storefront output.

Example: describe the shop clearly

Use the business name and the type of range visitors can actually find. Avoid unsupported claims or out-of-date seasonal statements in a description that may remain in place after a campaign.

Choose the right metadata

This tab describes the homepage. A content page and an individual product have their own metadata fields. Editing one does not establish that all page titles and descriptions have changed.

For an intended update, use Save changes, reopen the settings and check the relevant storefront on desktop and mobile. Use Cancel when you only need to review the settings.

Content page metadata · Product metadata

One save across the theme tabs

Homepage, Headings, Settings, SEO, Styles, Social Networks, KSP Strip and the banner tabs belong to the same settings form. Switching tabs does not save. Review changes across all tabs before Save changes, then reopen the correct theme and inspect its storefront. Cancel or Close leaves without another settings save; it does not reverse an earlier save or independent image-library action.

If you expected different text to change

Reopen SEO and compare the saved homepage fields. For the visible homepage introduction, use Homepage Title and introductory text. For an individual product or content page, use that record’s metadata instead. Keep the exact page address with the field you edited; a change to homepage metadata does not establish that another record’s fields changed. If you may have edited the wrong storefront, follow the active-theme checks.
