How can we help?

Update your business details in General settings

General settings brings your business information together in Builder. Review the intended details before saving, and check the particular customer-facing locations you need to update afterwards.

Update the business information

  1. Open Global Settings → General.
  2. Select Business in the settings-section navigation.
  3. Review Shop name, Email address, Telephone number and Shop address.
  4. Check the Company number and Sales Tax / VAT number fields against your business records where applicable.
  5. Review the logo separately using Add or replace your shop logo.
  6. Check your intended changes, then use Save Settings at the end of the form.
  7. Reopen the Business section and check the stored values. Review the particular shop page, message or printed output involved in your update.

Regional settings

The same section includes Timezone, Currency and Measurement. These affect a different area of the setup from a contact-name correction. Review them deliberately rather than changing them as part of an unrelated text update.

Example: a new shop telephone number

Correct the business telephone field, save and reopen it, then check the locations where customers see that number. If a content page or an email template contains a number typed into its own text, review that separate content as well.

If an old detail remains visible

Note exactly where it appears. Compare the saved Business value with the relevant content page or template. This helps distinguish a business-setting update from separately maintained wording.

Check the places customers use

After saving and reopening your details, check each output you rely on. Start with these examples:

  • Public shop: open the customer-facing shop and review its business name, address and contact links, including the footer.
  • Order documents: open an existing order and preview the invoice or receipt you normally use. Check the business header and any company or tax-number wording.
  • Custom layouts: check each custom packing slip, address label or other layout separately. These can contain their own business wording.
  • Messages and information pages: review any contact details typed directly into a page or email template.

For example, changing a shop address should be followed by checking the public footer and your normal invoice, then any custom dispatch label. An old address in a custom layout needs investigation in that layout; do not assume every output uses the same source.
