Practical guides for your shop, WebShop and till.

Print an order invoice or packing slip

Use the original order to obtain its invoice, packing slip or address label. Choose the document for the job you are doing and inspect it before printing or sharing.

Open the correct order document

  1. Open Orders & Customers → View Orders and find the intended order.
  2. Choose View and check the order number, customer, products/options and quantities.
  3. Open Printables.
  4. Choose Invoice, Packing slip or Address label for the intended task. The menu also offers Receipt and Gift Receipt; use the receipt guide for those documents.
  5. Inspect the generated page. Match its order number where shown and its contents to the original order before continuing.

Check an invoice

Review the business/contact details, billing and shipping addresses, order date/reference, product/options, unit price, quantity and totals. Compare the displayed tax and shipping information with the intended order. An invoice page is separate from checking the actual payment outcome. If the template’s business details or contents are wrong, stop and ask the responsible administrator to review them before issuing the document.

Check a packing slip

  1. Match the order reference and intended dispatch with the parcel you are preparing.
  2. Check product names, options or variant identifiers and quantities. Do not rely only on a similar product name.
  3. Review the delivery details and any note or customer message.
  4. If this is only part of an order, compare the document with the actual parcel and intended shipment; do not assume an order-wide packing page represents only the selected dispatch.

A packing slip and a shipment record are separate checks. Use Create a shipment for an order when you intend to record dispatch, and review shipments when investigating an earlier dispatch.

Check address labels

Review the recipient and return address, service wording, branding and label size before printing. Some label pages expose an editable recipient-text area. Do not assume changing a generated page updates the saved order’s delivery address; check the order separately and follow the intended address-correction process. A blank recipient area needs investigation before the label can be used.

Choose custom templates carefully

Your shop may have additional named printables. The demonstration menu includes Address Label 24hr, Address Label EU-ROW, Packing Slip (VAT) and Packing Slip (no price). These are configured templates, so the names and contents available in your account can differ.

Inspect the actual output rather than relying on its name. Check business branding, delivery wording and any prefilled customer message. Before using a no-price or gift document, review option descriptions, notes and message text as well as price columns; a template label does not establish that every price reference has been removed.

Print the reviewed page

  1. Check the generated document and the intended order again.
  2. Use your browser’s Print command when you intend to print it.
  3. Review the intended printer, paper/label size, orientation, scale, margins and page range in the available print preview.
  4. Complete printing only when the preview is correct, then check the physical document. For a browser offering Save as PDF, inspect the saved file separately before sharing it.

Generating a document, printing it, recording dispatch and sending an email are separate actions. Do not create a new sale or dispatch just to obtain another copy of a document.

Example: a second parcel from one order

Find the original order and compare the packing page with the products actually going into the second parcel. Check the relevant shipment separately. If the document includes the whole order, resolve the mismatch before putting it in that parcel.

If the document is wrong or missing

  • Wrong order: return to View Orders and check the reference before opening Printables again.
  • Blank or incorrect address: compare the saved order and intended destination. Do not post a parcel using an unchecked default or blank label.
  • Unexpected branding or wording: check which configured template you selected and ask the administrator to review it.
  • Unexpected price information: inspect descriptions, options, notes and messages as well as totals before handing over a document.
  • No paper output: check the browser preview, destination and printer status. A print problem does not mean the order or payment should be repeated.
