Choose a till receipt-printing route
Start with the route your shop actually uses. A browser print dialog, a Star WebPRNT network printer, a Bluetooth printer through a compatible app and a native app connection can require different setup.
Identify your setup
- Record the till device and operating system.
- Record the browser or app used to open the till.
- Find the exact printer model and interface: USB, network/Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
- Identify whether receipts use the normal print dialog or a direct printer integration.
- Review Global Settings → ePOS/Till Setup → Receipt printing and the separate Orders and receipts choices.
- Confirm compatibility for that exact combination with support and the printer’s current documentation before changing the route.
Choose the relevant task
- ShopTill-e Android app printing: select a supported USB or LAN printer, check paper width and test receipt and drawer output separately.
- Normal browser printing: review the selected printer, paper and layout.
- Star WebPRNT: review the correct network or app route and printer address.
- An existing iOS print bridge: identify the bridge as well as the printer, and check its current support and compatibility before changing an older installation.
- Silent or kiosk printing: prepare a checked device setup after ordinary printing works.
Choose guidance for an existing iPad setup
- Check which app or browser actually opens the till. Record its name rather than assuming all iPad setups use the same printing method.
- Identify whether the printer is reached through normal print controls, Star WebPRNT or a separate existing print bridge. Include the exact printer interface and any bridge model.
- Use the matching task above. An existing bridge guide is for checking that installation; it is not a recommendation to buy the same older hardware for a new till.
- If the route is unclear, send support the device, app/browser, printer and any bridge details before enabling a different integration or purchasing equipment.
- After an agreed setup change, check a saved receipt’s physical output and the cash drawer separately.
For example, an iPad using a Bluetooth printer through Star WebPRNT Browser needs different guidance from an iPad whose print controls discover a printer through a separate bridge. Identify the route first so the instructions match the equipment.
Example: Bluetooth versus network
Two printers from the same brand can have different interfaces and application requirements. Do not copy a network printer’s address into a Bluetooth setup simply because the model names are similar.
Check one receipt
Use an existing saved order or a test receipt and check its reference. Check the printed content, layout and drawer behaviour separately. Test offline operation separately on the intended device before relying on it; successful online printing does not establish offline readiness.
If you are unsure
Give support the device, operating system, browser/app, exact printer model, interface and intended workflow. Keep troubleshooting separate from taking another payment.
