How can we help?

Practical guides for your shop, WebShop and till.

Print or email a receipt after a till sale

Use the receipt actions belonging to the saved sale. A print or email action should not require taking payment again.

Print the receipt

  1. Check the saved-sale result and the intended order reference.
  2. Select Print Receipt, or Print Receipt & Open Drawer where the app presents that action.
  3. Complete the configured browser or device printing process.
  4. Check the actual printed receipt and any on-screen output status.

Your till may print automatically after saving, depending on its settings. Inspect the result before choosing another print. If Retry print appears, check the printer/output error before using it; retrying receipt output is separate from retrying payment.

Email the receipt

  1. From the saved-sale screen, choose Email Receipt.
  2. Review Name, Email and Telephone shown for that order. Check the intended recipient rather than assuming prefilled details are correct.
  3. Enter or confirm the receipt email address and select Send.
  4. Look for the sent/error message and keep the order reference if follow-up is needed.

The submitted Name, Email and Telephone values update the order’s billing contact details as part of sending. Review them deliberately; an email error does not by itself mean those details stayed unchanged.

A sent message from the application does not prove delivery to the recipient’s inbox. Investigate a wrong address or delivery failure using the same order; do not create another sale to obtain a receipt.

Drawer and gift receipts

Open Drawer Only is separate from printing. Gift receipt is a choice in Receive Payment before completion. Review the intended device setup and actual output before relying on price hiding or drawer behaviour.

Find a receipt after leaving the till success screen

  1. In Builder, find the existing order and check its number, products and total.
  2. Open Printables and choose Receipt or Gift Receipt for that saved order.
  3. Inspect the generated page before completing the intended printing process. Check product and option descriptions, quantities, totals and any note.
  4. For a split payment, compare the individual tender amounts in the saved order details. A receipt layout may show the method names without a separate amount for each tender.

Check a gift receipt before handing it over

Do not assume that hiding the price columns removes every price reference. An option label can include an added amount, such as Size B (+£2.00), and an order note can also appear. Review the actual generated gift receipt and ask support to review the template if it reveals information you intended to omit.

Offline or pending sales

Local receipt availability and email/server order availability are different checks. If the sale is awaiting sync, preserve its reference and local data and check its status before assuming that online receipt actions can use it.

If entered product wording is missing

The Receipt generated from Builder’s Printables menu can show a product’s base name without its entered Text option, even when the saved order and Invoice retain that wording. Compare the exact order item with the selected printable before concluding that the entry was lost.

Check the particular till-print, Builder printable or emailed output you intend to use; do not assume those layouts include identical detail. If the wording is required, ask support to review the intended template. Do not repeat payment to obtain a different description.
