How can we help?

Edit an image gallery’s details

A gallery has its own title, address and description. Editing those details is separate from adding, ordering or captioning the images inside it.

Edit the gallery

  1. Open WebShop → Image Galleries.
  2. Check the intended storefront and gallery.
  3. Select the gallery’s Edit control.
  4. Review the required Gallery title, Gallery URL and Gallery description.
  5. Keep an established address unless you have planned its existing menu and other links.
  6. Use Save changes & close for an intended update, then check View gallery.

Example: update a collection description

Keep a useful gallery introduction aligned with the images it contains. If the gallery represents a refreshed range, review image captions and any menu link as well as the title.

Save details separately from image operations

Save changes saves the gallery details and keeps the editor open; Save changes & close saves and returns to the directory. Use Cancel to leave unsaved detail edits. These buttons do not undo images already uploaded, reordered, captioned or deleted through Manage images.

Check the actual gallery address

The edit form displays /galleries/ before the Gallery URL field. Review the saved address after a change rather than assuming a title always becomes the exact address you typed. Use View gallery to open the result; the shop may resolve it to its canonical domain.

If you intentionally change an established address, review links from menus, content pages and other material. Do not assume the old address redirects automatically. Keep the previous and new addresses while checking the customer journey.

If the result differs

  • The description or formatting is missing: reopen the saved gallery, compare the stored introduction and check the actual theme's gallery page.
  • The gallery is in another storefront: check the storefront selector before editing another record. Selecting a different storefront is not moving an existing gallery.
  • The menu still uses an old name/address: review its own link settings separately from the gallery details.
  • A change did not save: retain the message and reopen the gallery before repeating it.

Deleting the gallery is a different action

Delete on the gallery directory opens Delete Gallery?. Check the intended record and retain its details, photographs, captions and links before confirming removal. Do not assume deleting a gallery also repairs menu links or offers automatic recovery. Deleting one image from Manage images is a separate action.

Create a gallery · Manage its images and captions.

For the content field, use text, list, table and media formatting and link editing. Save the surrounding record after applying editor changes.

Review the page and its images separately

After an intended details update, compare the gallery heading, address and introduction first. Then check thumbnails and the enlarged-image presentation using Manage gallery images and captions. Opening an existing photograph proves that viewing step; it does not establish that a recent upload, caption or order change was saved.
