Add, edit or remove a link in webshop content
The rich-text Link control adds a link within a content field. It is separate from the webshop menu manager, which controls navigation items.
Add a website link
- Open the intended content page or gallery description.
- Select the wording customers should click, such as “View delivery information”.
- Choose Link → Insert link.
- On the URL tab, enter the complete intended address, including https:// where appropriate. Check the destination rather than relying on an automatically added prefix.
- Review Text; it is the wording shown to customers.
- Choose Open link in new tab only when that is the intended behaviour.
- Choose Insert to apply the link to the editor content, or Cancel to leave the dialog without applying it.
- Review the result, save the surrounding record, then test the link from the actual storefront page.
For example, link descriptive wording to the saved delivery page address. Recheck links after changing a destination page's address; the visible words can remain the same while the destination is wrong.
Email and same-page links
- Email: use the Email tab and enter the intended email address and visible Text. Check the saved link; following it can open the visitor's mail application. Adding the link does not send an email.
- Anchor: use the Anchor tab for a matching target already present within the page and check its Text. Choosing this tab does not create a missing destination heading or anchor automatically. Test the result from the published page's actual address.
Edit or remove an existing text link
- Place the editing position in the intended link or select its linked wording.
- Use Link → Insert link to review its current address, text and new-tab choice.
- Apply the intended edit, save the surrounding record and test the destination.
- To remove the link while keeping the wording, use Link → Unlink on the intended linked text. Check the remaining text before saving.
An image's own link can be managed in its image-properties dialog. Check whether you selected text or an image before applying a link action.
If the link does not behave as expected
- Compare the actual target with the intended complete address, including any page path or anchor.
- Check that you saved the page after using Insert in the link dialog.
- Confirm you edited the same storefront and content record you are viewing.
- If the link opens the wrong page or a missing page, check the destination's current address before editing unrelated content.
- Review linked text and actual new-tab behaviour on the saved page, including keyboard use.
