Select checkout and cookie-policy pages
Write and review the relevant information as content pages before selecting them in General settings. Selecting a page, showing a link and enforcing an acceptance step are separate checks.
Prepare the pages
- Open WebShop → Content Pages.
- Review the intended Terms & Conditions and Cookie Policy pages, their storefronts, addresses and current text.
- Check each actual page is accessible in the intended storefront.
Review the selections
- Open Global Settings → General → Online shop.
- Find the setting beginning Please choose a T&C page if you require T&C acceptance at checkout.
- Review the selected page or the no-acceptance choice.
- Find the setting beginning Please choose a Cookie Policy page if you want to show a cookie alert.
- Review its selected page or no-policy choice separately.
- For an intended update, check the chosen records and use Save Settings.
Check the real journey
Reopen the saved settings, then test the actual checkout link and acceptance validation for the intended storefront. Check the cookie alert’s link, display and behaviour on relevant devices and visitor states. A page selector does not by itself establish how scripts are controlled or remembered.
Example: similarly named pages
If two storefronts have a page called Terms & Conditions, inspect the actual page/address before selecting it. Changing a navigation label does not change the record chosen in the checkout setting.
A footer link is separate from checkout acceptance
- Open the actual customer-facing shop and follow its Terms & Conditions link, where present.
- Check the destination address, page heading and content. A link's label can differ from the page it opens.
- If the link opens the wrong page, review the relevant menu item's destination and the intended content page.
- Review the T&C acceptance selection in General settings separately. A visible footer link does not establish that checkout asks for acceptance, and changing the menu label does not select an acceptance page.
- After an intended correction, check both the public link and the relevant checkout journey. Keep the exact page and storefront with any support query.
For example, if a link labelled “Terms & Conditions” opens an About Us page, investigate that link's destination. Do not enable or disable checkout acceptance merely to repair the footer link.
Read the no-policy choices carefully
The selectors offer T&C acceptance not required and no cookie policy required choices. These are settings choices, not confirmation of the text on your public pages or of the visitor's complete experience. Review the two selectors independently. If a notice or checkbox is absent, record the selected choice, storefront, page and visitor state before changing anything.
If the expected control is absent
Confirm the selected record, active page, storefront and template, and note the exact checkout/visitor state for support. Do not replace policy wording or toggle unrelated settings to clear a display problem.
