Add a WebShop content page
Use a content page for general information. Products and categories belong in the catalogue; adding a page does not by itself establish where customers will find it in a menu.
Prepare the page
- Open WebShop → Content Pages and select the intended Storefront.
- Check for an existing page with the same purpose before adding another.
- Select Add new page.
- On General, enter the required Page Title and the main text.
- Review Page URL. Its guidance says no spaces and that leaving it blank can auto-generate the value. Check the resulting address for clarity and conflicts.
- Review Active? and Template deliberately. Do not assume a newly created record starts hidden.
Review metadata and presentation
Use SEO for Meta Title, Meta Description and Meta Keywords where used in your process. Extra contains Extra Content 1–5; these fields appear only where the chosen template uses them. Keep the initial page simple unless its template calls for extra content.
Save and check
- Review the storefront, title, text, address, active state and template.
- Use Save changes to save while keeping the editor available, or Save changes & close to finish editing.
- Check the returned result and reopen the saved record.
- Check the intended storefront’s actual page and any required menu link.
Example: a shop-visit page
A page titled “Visit our shop” might include the address, opening hours, directions and contact details. Review each fact and add a clear link from the intended information menu. Avoid creating a second Contact Us page if the existing page already serves that purpose.
If saving or navigation fails
Check the required title and exact error. Confirm whether a record was created before submitting again. If the record exists but visitors cannot find it, review its actual address, active state, menu reference and storefront separately.
