Review customer account and loyalty settings
The Shop and ePOS section of General settings contains shared account and pricing-related options. Review the switch relevant to your task before changing customer or product records.
Find the shared settings
- Open Global Settings → General.
- Select Shop and ePOS.
- Review Customer account functionality. The current choices are Disabled, Optional and Required.
- Find Enable Customer Loyalty tracking and the adjacent Percent of point conversion field.
- Review Enable user groups? and Enable advanced pricing? if your task concerns group-specific behaviour or prices.
- Leave the page without saving if you were only inspecting it. For an intended update, use Save Settings and check the affected workflow.
Example: investigate a trade-pricing setup
Check whether the relevant group and advanced-pricing options are enabled, then inspect the actual customer and the product’s group-price rows. A shared switch is one part of the setup; it does not establish that a particular customer has the expected group or that a price override exists.
Keep loyalty and account payments distinct
Loyalty tracking, customer-group pricing and Pay on Account are separate tasks. Check the relevant customer and transaction records when investigating a balance or price. Do not assume the loyalty conversion field defines an on-account credit limit.
Before changing existing behaviour
Record the current choice and arrange a controlled test of the intended customer journey. In particular, check anonymous versus signed-in use, the customer’s group and the intended till or WebShop context.

Check a group’s loyalty setting
With customer loyalty enabled, the customer-group editor also has Loyalty percent. Review that value alongside the shared setting, separately from selling prices, discounts and credit limits. Do not assume a zero group value disables the shared loyalty arrangement.
Record the customer’s effective group and compare the expected points outcome on a representative purchase. Include discounted items and any return or cancellation journey you use in your checks before changing an established arrangement. See Edit a customer group and review its loyalty setting.
If the price, points or account result is unexpected
- Identify the customer, the till or storefront and the affected product or order reference.
- Separate the result you are investigating: a selling price, loyalty points or an on-account balance. Check its corresponding records rather than treating all three as one balance.
- For a price, compare the customer’s group with the product’s relevant group and variant price rows, and note any discount.
- For points, record the shared loyalty setting and the effective group’s Loyalty percent alongside the purchase or return involved.
- For an account balance, use the customer’s account records and reports. Keep the transaction reference and expected versus observed amount for support before changing settings or repeating a payment.
