How can we help?

Remove a webshop menu item or menu

Before removing navigation, decide whether the link should be temporarily inactive, one item should be deleted, or the whole menu should be removed. Record its title, destination, parent path and storefront first.

Temporarily hide an item

  1. Open WebShop → Webshop Navigation Manager and choose the intended Storefront.
  2. Find the menu location and use Show items.
  3. Edit the intended item, review Active? and save an intended change.
  4. Check the storefront and any children. Changing the navigation item does not establish that its destination page is inaccessible directly.

Delete one item

  1. Check the item’s title, reference and nested children.
  2. Record any child links you need to preserve and plan their intended positions.
  3. Select Delete on that item and read Delete Menu Item?.
  4. Cancel if unsure, or confirm the intended removal.
  5. Wait for the refreshed menu and inspect both the parent and any child entries. Test the actual storefront.

Do not assume deleting a parent moves its children into the right place or provides Undo. Removing a navigation item is different from deleting the page, product or category it links to.

Delete the whole menu

  1. Confirm the exact storefront and menu location.
  2. Record all labels, destinations and hierarchy you need to retain.
  3. Select Delete this menu or its Delete menu action.
  4. Read Delete Menu? and confirm only when removing the entire menu and its entries is intended.
  5. Check the remaining menu locations and storefront navigation.

Example: retire a seasonal link

If the range may return, review the item’s Active? choice and leave its destination intact where appropriate. If the whole seasonal navigation is being replaced, record each useful link before removing the menu. Check direct links and other menus separately.

If the result is uncertain

After an error or interruption, inspect the stored menu before retrying. Keep its storefront, location, item path and message for support. Do not assume an unrelated Undo control restores the old hierarchy.
