Reorder and nest WebShop menu items
Menu order and hierarchy are different choices. Up and down controls change list position; Level changes whether an item is nested beneath the item above or returned to its parent level.
Choose the right menu
- Open WebShop → Webshop Navigation Manager and select the intended Storefront.
- Find the active menu and select Show items if needed.
- Identify the item and its current neighbours before moving it.
Available ordering controls
- Mouse: use the Reorder handle to drag an item.
- Touch: use ↑ and ↓ to change list position.
- Keyboard: focus a Reorder handle and use the arrow keys, or use the same available movement controls.
- Hierarchy: choose Level to make an item a subitem of the immediately preceding item, or return it to its parent level.
Example: group information links
If you want one information link beneath another, first position it immediately after the intended parent, then use Level to review its nesting. Do not treat moving an item down one place as the same change as making it a child.
Check the result
Review both the list indentation and the actual storefront menu on the devices customers use. Make one movement at a time so you can see how the hierarchy changes. Check that the destination of each item still opens the intended page.
Menu location matters
The current page lists available menu locations and menus not used by the template. If you are editing the right title but the storefront does not change, confirm the active menu location and storefront before moving more items.

Moves save immediately
Using the arrows, Reorder handle or Level submits the arrangement without a separate menu Save button. Wait for the operation, reopen the list and check the parent path before another move. Cancelling an item editor later does not undo a completed order change.
The movement controls support up to three menu levels. A move can be unavailable at the top, bottom or nesting limit; review the whole branch rather than forcing a move. If a request fails, let the list reload and compare the actual result before retrying.
