How can we help?

Enable a WebShop menu location

Menu locations come from the storefront template. An existing menu, an available empty location and a custom menu are different things.

Review available locations

  1. Open WebShop → Webshop Navigation Manager and choose the intended Storefront.
  2. Review Active Menus, Available menu locations and Menus not used by this template. Check whether the menu you need is already present.
  3. Select Add new menu.
  4. In Select Menu, choose the intended available template location.
  5. Review the selection, then choose Save changes for an intended addition.
  6. Check the result and add the required links to the correct menu.

Check the initial menu choice

The Add a menu dialog can open with - Select - in Select Menu. Choose an actual available location deliberately; do not treat opening the dialog as enabling it. Available locations belong to the selected storefront and template. For example, a template can offer a header, homepage rows or another footer location. A location already in use need not be offered again.

Use Cancel if you only wanted to check availability. The blank Title field and Create custom menu choice are separate from choosing a template location; confirm where a custom menu will be used before saving it.

Custom menus

The form also offers Create custom menu and a Title. Creating a custom record alone does not establish that the template will display it. Confirm where the template is intended to use it before relying on it for customer navigation.

Example: add information links below the shop

If the current template offers an unused footer location, enable that location and add Page links to the intended information pages. Check the storefront footer instead of assuming that any menu titled “Footer” automatically appears there.

If a location is unavailable

Confirm the correct storefront and current template. Check whether the location is already active or whether the template uses a different arrangement. Keep the exact available-location labels for support. Avoid renaming or deleting working menus merely to make an unavailable location appear.

Add menu links · Review an existing item and its location.

Review an existing menu title carefully

Edit menu provides its Title and shows the Template key used by the design. Record that key and the active location before saving a rename. Reopen the record and check the key and storefront result afterwards. A familiar menu title alone does not establish where the template places it.
