Add marketplace product fields
Marketplace fields give products additional attributes for the connected catalogue. Decide what a field means and how it will be mapped before adding it.
Choose the field
Use a clear name and choose Text for a short value, Text Area for longer text, or Radio button (Yes/No) for a genuine two-choice attribute. A field’s name and type are separate from the value entered on each product.
Add the definition
- Open Global Settings → Market Integration.
- When available for the enabled integration, choose Manage Marketplace Fields.
- Review existing fields before adding a similarly named one.
- Choose Add New Field.
- Enter Field Name, choose Field Type and enter a helpful Field Description where needed.
- Review the definition and choose the field editor’s Save only when ready to create it.
- Check the field appears in the manager and reopen it to confirm its definition.
Understand when it saves
The field editor’s Save commits the definition. Closing the larger fields manager afterwards does not undo that field save. Use Cancel in the field editor before saving if you were only reviewing it.
Example: material information
A short Material field could hold a product’s confirmed material. Its description can tell staff what to enter. The definition itself does not fill every product or map that material to a marketplace.
If a new-field form already contains a field name
Before entering a new definition, check that the form is ready for a new field. If it unexpectedly shows an existing field’s name after an earlier edit, choose Cancel and close the fields manager without saving. Reload the page and open Manage Marketplace Fields → Add New Field again. If the unexpected details remain, stop and contact support rather than saving over them. Changing the displayed name alone is not a reliable way to confirm you are creating a separate definition.
If the field is missing
Reopen the manager and check the intended shop and exact field name. Review the enabled integration and account access with support if the control is unavailable. Check for an existing field before adding another.
