Domain Setup DNS, NAME SERVER, ZONES add CNAME
Add a CNAME to your DNS, NAME SERVER, ZONES
You can choose to purchase a domain from within the 'Settings > Domains' menu if you do this the domain will be automatically configured to work with your ShopTill-e Online Web Shop.
If you already own a domain that you want to use with your ShopTill-e Online Web Shop the set-up is very easy however we are here to help we provide FREE DNS management please contact support@shoptill-e.com and we will assist you then you.
If you have a login/control panel for your domain you will normally have the ability to edit the name server settings these can sometimes be referred to as DNS, Zones or Name Server settings so if you prefer you can manage your own DNS...
As ShopTill-e is designed & optimised to work with Cloudflare if you wish to manage your own DNS you can do this by creating a free Cloudflare account go to https://dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up to get started.
There are different types of DNS settings/records e.g. MX, A, TXT, CNAME for the purpose of pointing your existing domain at your ShopTill-e Web Shop you need to have a CNAME record/s
***Remember this needs to be done via your Cloudflare account*** As you need to enable the 'Proxy' please see the screenshot below 'Orange cloud'.
The screenshot below shows 2 CNAME records the first is for the main root record which is the one that starts with the @ symbol the second is the www. record both are set to 'Type' = CNAME and the data (or destination) will be your own ShopTill-e ' Online Web shop' address (Important: Please note do not include https:// or www before your ShopTill-e address).
