How can we help?

Review or set a till user’s PIN

A user’s PIN Code and Builder login password are separate credentials. Use the intended staff account and keep the PIN private.

Review the PIN setting

  1. Open Global Settings → Users and locate the intended user.
  2. Open that account and confirm its Name and Email.
  3. Find PIN Code.
  4. For an intended update, enter the intended numeric PIN under the shop’s credential process. The current form reports a 4–6 number requirement and checks whether the PIN is already used; read any returned validation message.
  5. Review other fields to avoid combining unrelated role/access changes with the PIN update.
  6. Use Save changes for the intended update and check its result.

Check the till journey

Verify the intended user’s lock/unlock or cashier-switch journey in the actual till configuration. User PIN setup, till locking settings and the current cashier state are separate checks. Confirm which account is active after a switch before continuing a transaction.

If the PIN is rejected

Check the numeric/length message and whether the interface reports an existing PIN. Keep the error and account identity for the administrator, without sending the PIN itself. Do not try other staff members’ codes or assume that clearing the field disables every existing session.

If you only needed to inspect the account

Use Cancel without saving. The edit form shows the PIN as visible text. Keep it out of screenshots and messages; if you need help locating the field, show an empty field rather than the user’s code.
