The product editor and POS Settings contain separate age-related controls. Review the product classification and the till’s selected prompt action together.

Check the product

1. Find the intended product in Product Management and open Edit → Advanced.
2. Under Sales channels and availability, review Minimal age.
3. Confirm that you are checking the intended product and option. If inspecting only, use Cancel.

Check the till action

1. Open Global Settings → ePOS/Till Setup.
2. Choose Products and operator controls.
3. Review Action when adding a product with age restrictions to basket. The choices are No action, Show notice, Confirm each item and Confirm cart.
4. Review the Restricted products - Minimum Ages fields.
5. Record the intended behaviour and test the relevant products and basket combinations before saving a production change.

Example: confirm which action staff expect

A notice and an item-by-item confirmation are different interface choices. Check which appears when the intended product is added, and what happens when quantities or the basket change. Ensure staff understand the chosen prompt as part of your store’s process.

If the prompt is unexpected

Record the product, its saved minimum-age value, the configured till action and the actual sequence of basket changes. Check the same product and device when reproducing the case.
