Review shipping destinations and rate bands
Countries & Shipping lists delivery destinations and their configured rate bands. Bands can be based on basket weight, value or item count, so check the basis as well as the delivery charge.
Review the destination
- Open WebShop → Countries & Shipping.
- Find the intended country or region, including any default Rest of world configuration.
- Read the displayed rate names, band definitions and costs.
- Choose Edit rates for the intended destination when you need to inspect its configuration in more detail.
Example: a free-delivery threshold
A value-based configuration might show one rate for 0.00–49.99 and another from 50.00 upwards. Check the intended boundary, charge and customer group rather than assuming a rate called “Free Delivery” has the right conditions.
Check for gaps and overlaps
Compare the end of each band with the start of the next. Plan tests just below, at and just above each boundary. Also compare the basis: a weight-based rate and a value-based rate are not interchangeable.
Destination availability
The page states when a region has no defined rates and shipping is disabled for that region. Check the destination and any more specific country configuration when investigating why a customer has no delivery choice.
Verify the checkout result
Use a representative basket, destination address and customer group when checking the resulting methods. Include the product weights if weight-based shipping is involved. A configuration list is not a substitute for confirming which choices the intended checkout actually presents.
Keep the destination, basket value/weight, customer group and expected charge with a support query. Do not delete a region merely to investigate a rate.
Detailed setup tasks
Remove a shipping destination
- Find the exact country or region and record its existing bands, charges and customer-group restrictions.
- Check whether a more specific destination or Rest of world configuration could still offer shipping to the same address.
- Select Remove on the intended destination, rather than Remove on a single rate inside the rates editor.
- Read Delete destination? and confirm only when the intended change is ready.
- Read the result and check the refreshed destination list.
- Check the intended checkout with representative destination addresses and baskets, including any default or more specific destination that may apply.
Removing one destination does not by itself establish that shipping to every address in that region is disabled. Keep the original bands so support can help reconstruct the configuration if necessary. If you need to change one rate rather than the whole destination, use Edit rates and review the remaining bands before saving.
Work through a missing delivery option
- Find the customer’s delivery country in the destination list. Record any message saying that shipping is disabled because no rates are defined.
- Open the relevant Edit rates dialog and check Customer Group.
- Read each rate’s Type, minimum, maximum and amount together. Check the per-rate Exclude/Extra field/Filter value controls if present.
- Review the separate Basket conditions area. Record its Extra check of basket setting and the accompanying Type, limits and item filters.
- Use Cancel while investigating. Keep a record of the intended basket, destination and customer group, then compare the actual checkout choices before making a configuration change.
For example, a row showing a zero maximum can appear as “upwards” in the destination list. Compare the two displays rather than treating the zero as the delivery charge: the charge is in Rate. A rate title such as Free Delivery or Collect from store does not establish its conditions.
