How can we help?

Rename an existing till Quick Bar button

Quick Bar shortcuts have a title and a product selection. Change the title when you want a clearer button label; review the product separately if the shortcut adds the wrong item.

Change the title

  1. Open Global Settings → ePOS/Till Setup.
  2. On POS Settings, choose Quick bar in the section navigation.
  3. Find the intended shortcut row. Check both its current Title and its Product.
  4. Enter the new title in that row’s shortcut-title field.
  5. Keep the product and Numeric Keypad/input choice unchanged if you are only renaming the button.
  6. Use Save Settings, then reopen the till and check the intended shortcut.

Example: clarify a carry-bag shortcut

A configured row might have title “Bag” and product “Carry Bag”. A more descriptive button title can help staff distinguish it from a bag product range. Check the product mapping before saving so the label and intended item still agree.

Other Quick Bar controls

The page includes Enable Quick Bar in ePOS?, product edit and clear controls, Numeric Keypad/input checkboxes and Add shortcut. These make different changes from renaming an existing button. Check the intended row and action before using them.

Adding a row is separate from renaming

Use Add shortcut and product-selection steps for an additional button. The current row-count status shows available space. Use [clear] only when you intend to empty that row’s title, product and numeric-input mapping; it is more than a title edit.

If the result is unexpected

Compare the saved title and product on the settings page with the till you are using. Note the user, till, row and button shown. If the product is wrong, changing its title again will not correct the mapping.
