How can we help?

Practical guides for your shop, WebShop and till.

Record a product’s stock location

Use Stock Location for a clear location reference on the product record, such as an agreed shelf or bin label. Decide your naming convention before staff enter variations of the same location.

Enter or review a reference

  1. Find the intended product in Catalogue & Stock → Product Management and select Edit.
  2. Open Advanced → Stock and fulfilment.
  3. Find Stock Location and review the existing text.
  4. Enter the agreed reference for that product. For example, Aisle A / Shelf 3 / Bin 2 is more useful to staff than an unexplained “back room”.
  5. Use Save changes & close for an intended update, then reopen the record to check the wording.

Keep the right kind of location

This text reference is separate from selecting an outlet and recording how many units that outlet holds. Changing the wording is not the stock-transfer workflow. If goods have moved between branches, use the appropriate transfer and holding records as well.

Example: moving a product to a new shelf

Agree the physical shelf label, move the item using your shop’s procedure, then update its catalogue reference. Tell the picking team which convention is used. If you also moved units between outlets, reconcile that movement separately.

Check where staff need the reference

Confirm that the current picking, packing or other document used by your team displays the reference where expected. Include the document name and product when asking support about a missing location. Do not assume that every report or variant has an independent location field.

Check outlet stock · Prepare an outlet transfer.
