Manage a product’s attachments
Manage attachments is separate from the digital product’s Manage files control. Use the correct workflow for the intended supporting document, and verify its customer visibility before relying on it.
Prepare the attachment
Choose a document that belongs with this product, such as a confirmed care guide. Check its content, filename and distribution rights. Keep the original and note which version you intend customers to see.
Add the intended file
- Open the saved product from Product Management and select Advanced.
- Find Files and suppliers → Attachments and select Manage attachments.
- Check the product name in the manager heading.
- Select Upload Files, choose the intended document and review the queue.
- Select Start Upload. Check progress, any error and the refreshed attachment list.
- Close the manager and reopen it to confirm the intended file is listed.
- Review the actual product page in the intended storefront and check the attachment’s visibility and content.
Closing the manager is not an upload rollback
Attachment uploads and confirmed deletions are separate file actions. The manager’s Save changes & close and Cancel controls close the manager; do not depend on them to undo a completed upload or deletion.
Replacing an old document
Keep a copy of the old and new versions, review the intended file and verify the customer-facing result before removing an established attachment. A similar filename does not establish that an old link was replaced. Review Delete and its confirmation carefully, then reopen the manager after an intended deletion.
If an attachment is missing
Check the product you opened, the upload result and the attachment list. If it exists in Builder but is absent from the product page, record the storefront and active theme for support. Do not move a paid download into attachments as a workaround for a delivery problem.
