Find and filter products in Builder
Use Product Management to find an existing catalogue record before changing its details, price or availability. Filters help distinguish similar products and narrow a long list.
Find a product
- Open Catalogue & Stock → Product Management.
- Check Catalogue location. Choose the relevant location, or use All locations when you are looking across the catalogue.
- In the catalogue filters, enter a Product title or SKU. Use the identifier from the item when similar names could cause confusion.
- Use Category to narrow the list to a department. Check Visibility: choose Live and not live if you also need records that are not live.
- Select Apply filters and review the results. The page also offers Search SKU for an SKU search.
- Check the product name and SKU on the matching row before selecting Edit.
Make a long result list easier to use
Sort by offers name, price, SKU, date and stock-related choices. Results per page controls the size of the displayed list. Use Next and Previous to move between result pages.
For example, to review a bag range, choose its category, include both live and not-live records, then sort by title. To find one particular item for a correction, use its SKU and check the identifier before editing.
If a product is missing
- Check the location and category selections first.
- Include both visibility states. A not-live record may be excluded by your current filter.
- Remove an unnecessary title or SKU restriction and apply the filters again.
- If you reached the end of a page, check the next result page.
A filtered list is a way to find records; selecting the bulk-action controls is a separate operation. Check selections and the intended action before applying a change to several products.
Next steps
Edit a product’s main details or review its stock and availability settings.
Adjust spacing and text size
- On a screen offering the control, select Display near the page heading.
- Under Spacing, choose Compact for more rows at a glance or Comfortable for extra space between rows.
- Select Larger text when it makes the list easier to read.
- Review the result. These choices apply as you change them; there is no separate Save step for the Display panel.
- Press Escape or click outside the panel when finished.
For example, use Comfortable and Larger text when staff need more space and clearer text. Use Compact when reviewing a longer list, then choose the view that remains readable on that device.
Where the preference is remembered
The choices are remembered for the current shop and user in that browser and can apply across supported Builder pages. A different browser, device or signed-in user can show different preferences. If the panel says browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page but may not be remembered.
Filters determine which records are listed. Display adjusts their presentation. Recheck your filters and identifiers when searching for an item, even after changing the spacing or text size.
