Find and download storefront files
File manager organises storefront resources and editable custom-template files. Start by finding the intended folder and file, keeping download separate from replacement or deletion.
Locate a file
- Open Global Settings → File Manager.
- Expand the relevant folder, such as Resources, Template Images or Templates.
- Check the filename, size and date shown.
- Use Download for the intended file and retain the original before preparing an edit elsewhere.
Custom template files
The page’s guidance says editable custom-template files become available after adding the template and choosing Customise in Templates. Check the intended theme and its customisation workflow before expecting all original template files to appear here.
Example: keep an original resource
Before replacing an asset used by a page, download the existing file and note where it is referenced. This gives you the original for comparison if the new appearance is wrong.
Other file operations
The page includes Choose File, Upload selected files, Create folder and Delete controls. Check the destination folder, exact filename and references before uploading a replacement or removing a file; those are separate operations from browsing.
Use Edit files from a theme
The theme's Edit files action opens File Manager. Find the intended custom-template file in its folder, download the original, make the intended changes in a suitable editor on your computer, then use Upload or replace a storefront file to put the replacement in the same folder with the intended filename.
- Record the active theme, target folder and exact filename.
- Download and keep an unchanged original separately from your working copy.
- Prepare one identifiable change and retain the correct filename and file type.
- Review the replacement and destination before Upload selected files.
- Read each upload result, then inspect the actual storefront page at the relevant screen sizes.
There is no separate whole-page Save changes step for the file upload. Check the individual upload results. If the result is wrong, keep the original and ask support about restoring it through the correct replacement workflow; do not assume an automatic version history or Undo. Theme settings, content-page editing and file replacement are separate tasks.

If the file is missing or the download is unexpected
- Check the exact folder and filename, including its extension. Compare the displayed size and date with the resource you intended to retain.
- For a template file, confirm the intended theme and whether its editable custom files have been made available through the theme workflow. Opening another theme’s folder does not establish that you found the active storefront’s file.
- Check the actual downloaded file before editing a working copy. Keep an unchanged original separately.
- If the expected file is still absent, record the theme, folder and filename for support. Avoid uploading a same-named replacement or deleting nearby files just to make the list look right.
