Choose a stock holding, replenishment or tracking report
The stock reports answer different operational questions. Check whether you need holding information, replenishment detail for a period, or a list of products by their tracking setting.
Stock Holding Report
- Open Reports → Stock Holding Report.
- Review Show only live products; check whether it is selected before interpreting the result.
- Choose the intended Category and Supplier, or include all.
- Select Run report and review the output’s location and stock basis.
Stock Replenish Report
Open Reports → Stock Replenish Report, enter Date range, choose Object and run the report. Keep the period and selected location with the result so it can be compared with the corresponding sales and stock records.
Products — Stock Tracking Status
Open the tracking-status report and review Display product with Track Stock Status. The choices shown are a blank/default marker, Yes and No. Choose the intended status before running it.
Example: investigate an apparently missing item
Check whether the holding report is restricted to live products, a category or a supplier. If the item is not stock-tracked, inspect its tracking setup rather than assuming a blank or missing stock result means the physical quantity is zero.
Check the actual stock location
Use Stock Management for the exact outlet and option involved. A report or Dashboard total may use a broader scope; compare its definition before changing stock.
Current holdings and activity answer different questions
For Stock Holding, review Show only live products, Category, Supplier and the intended location. A live-only scope can omit retained catalogue records. Stock Replenish has a period and Object scope; keep those choices with its output. Products - Stock Tracking Status filters tracking configuration rather than proving a physical count.
Compare the exact product, option and outlet when a holding seems wrong. Use a recorded stock workflow for the correction rather than changing several report filters and treating the new total as an adjustment.
